We have arrived in Minneapolis and invaded the Aloft Hotel! The ADC50 summer meeting is off to a great start with fun refreshments and comfortable accommodations helping us through the afternoon meetings.
The committee meeting started off with updates from FHWA and ACHP concerning some of the changes we can expect with the new administration, particularly as they may effect current regulatory processes. We also heard some updates concerning TRB and possible changes going forward with the summer meetings. We’re still on track to have the next summer meeting in Montana in later July 2018!
There was a discussion regarding session ideas for TRB in January. Ideas ranged from keeping current on LiDAR practices, to addressing the old impacts of interstate projects when new projects cause a revisiting/reopening of old wounds. If anyone has more ideas or specific suggestions for those ideas please offer them up in the comments!
